You are welcome to arrange a postal hire of our carriers, subject to availability (current stock can be seen in the catalogue here. Please note that this changes hourly!)

COVID-19 Special Measures. Due to the current situation regarding the Coronavirus in the UK (March 2020), we can offer Postal Hires to local customers who are self-isolating without the need to pay the deposit. Please contact us for further details. We will require that a hire account is created and that we keep your payment details on file (see t&cs for more information).

We arrange postal hires by email and with Royal Mail Special Delivery (tracked and insured service) to ensure your carrier arrives in good time and that you get the help and support that you need with your hire whilst you have it. Please ensure you have created a hire account on our system with your contact and payment details.

While we do not charge deposits at our Sheffield drop-in library sessions, we do for postal hire. These are refundable on safe return of the carrier, and some special or rare items are not available on postal loans, as we are sure you can understand.

You will need to confirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions and say in your email that you are happy to abide by them.

The deposit will be for the price of replacement of the carrier and needs to be sent by goods and services PayPal – this will be refunded in full on return of the carrier if it is in the same condition that it was hired out to you.

The hire fees are £5 per week or £15 for 4 weeks. Post out to you is by special delivery which you will need to cover, it is usually about £10.25 (inc VAT) for one sling or £13.20 (inc VAT) for multiple slings and larger coats. Please return your hired items via the same service to ensure they are fully insured and will arrive quickly.

Hire fees and the postage costs are also paid by goods and services paypal (a separate payment) which is not refunded.
